Breaking Ground Counseling, Coaching & Consulting delivers

comprehensive, evidenced-based psychotherapy, assisting clients (ages 12 and older) in broadening their awareness and understanding of their challenges and themselves.  Our clients finish therapy with more than just symptom relief: they leave with a deeper integration of themselves, making it easier for them to live more fulfilling lives.  Breaking Ground also offers coaching and consultation services around personal growth, competitive college admissions, organizational mental wellness, ASWB clinical exam preparation, and supervision for LMSWs and clinical social workers seeking to broaden psychodynamic training.

Assessment, Evaluation and Diagnosis
  • Comprehensive, strengths-based, trauma-informed, assessments and evaluations of individuals and their environments including recommendations and treatment planning for improved functioning​

  • Diagnosis of most mental health conditions based on evaluations from highly-trained and experienced providers with years of experience in multiple settings including law enforcement, children's residential, inpatient, educational (public and private) and dual-diagnosis (addictions).

  • ​We strive to make quality therapy accessible for people from diverse financial backgrounds by:

    •  Partnering with several large insurance providers: United Behavioral Health; Connecticare; Magellan; Cigna, Anthem, Harvard Pilgrim, Medicaid, VA CCN

    • Billing your insurance for you or providing an invoice if we are out-of -network, thereby streamlining faster payments to you from your insurance company

    •  Accepting HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) payments from your employer

    • Accepting cash, check and credit card payments (without additional credit card service fees) 

    • Serving as an EAP-approved provider with ESI Employee Assistance Group, United Behavioral Health, Cigna EAP, Anthem EAP, Optum EAP

    • Offering alternatives to insurance:
